After 2 years of walking through slush, rain, and snow in running shoes or my mother's boots (which have a slight heel in them), I have decided to shell out some money for boots.
I don't want anything with a heel because I trip over enough things walking barefoot so I really wouldn't want to make that more difficult for myself. I've fallen in love with the Uggs/Emus/all those other brands that make the similar type of boot.

So, my question is, which ones are better Price-wise, I know Emus are cheaper but how about quality Do these shoes hold up well in snow, slush, and rain Do I need to buy something to waterproof them What is their life-span
Anyone in Canada know a cheap place to get them I live near Vancouver, BC. I'm looking for ones that hit about mid-calf to slightly higher, just in case I step in a large puddle or snow drift.
Also, is it possible to stretch out the boots I have pretty muscular calves and it makes it a bit tight if I shove my jeans into the boot as well. I mean, it's not horrible, but some room would be appreciated!
